This silk scarf is inspired from an old bridal hand woven linen head cover (khirqa) from Beit Dajan near Jaffa in Palestine (ca 1928). The original head cover was hand embroidered with silk threads in cross stitch. The embroidery in Beit Dajan was considered among the finest embroidery in Palestine.
